Forget the technical stuff… Learn how to see!

We have two things to learn as photographers – the technical aspects of the equipment we choose to work with, and how we express ourselves through images.  Many of us struggle with our creativity, wondering how we can break out of ruts or create different styles.

BPC member B.D. Colen, who teaches at M.I.T. and Harvard, is holding a workshop from July 2nd through July 5th to introduce photographers to documentary and street photography.  And what is a better time to practice street photography than on the 4th of July in Boston?  Workshop participants will spend the 4th photographing the area around the Charles River Esplanade and the fantastic fireworks display.

The workshop is limited to 8 participants, so sign up soon!  More information and a detailed day-by-day syllabus can be found on B.D. Colen’s website.
